Routine Maintenance Inspection

All Aegis intruder alarm installations comply with Standards BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and the requirements down by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI).

If the system is connected to ARC it is a Police and NSI requirement that the system must the subject to two inspection visits per annum, However, systems without remote signalling (bells only) require just one visit. Calls are pre-booked by Aegis and notified well in advance to give clients the opportunity to contact us, if the prearranged date is inconvenient.

During the maintenance visit, the intruder alarm is tested to ensure that it is functioning correctly. Any developing fault found would be rectified accordingly at no charge other than for replacement components which are outside the 12 month guarantee period. An important feature of the inspection is the checking of the batteries and fuses within the system, which are replaced as necessary free of charge.

A further advantage is that our emergency service department is available 24 hours a day with attendance within 4 hours if required. All our engineers are equipped with on board portable computers, which relay real-time information relating to your service requirements.

Details of the visit are then instantly relayed back to our control centre.

Optional extended warranty contract provides free service for the maintenance of the intruder alarm system 24 hours a day, to include parts and labour.

Insurance: It may be a requirement of your insurance that your system is covered by a routine maintenance contract, for which you may be eligible for a discount on your contents insurance cover.
